Welcome Frontier Parents and Students!

WELCOME BACK 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR!  Let's make it a great year! Even though we are continuing on distance learning, please know I am checking email and voicemail regularly.   Email me if you have any questions or concerns. We are here for you! Please take care of yourself, remain calm, practice positive self-talk, use healthy coping strategies and together we will get through this!***

IEP Counseling Services during School Dismissal:

IEP counseling services will be offered online via Google Hangouts, Zoom meetings, messaging, phone calls and/or google docs as needed. In addition, students and parents will be emailed to determine scheduled meeting times.  Check out the posts below on social-emotional/coping handouts and community resources.

My name is Mrs. Allen and welcome to my page! This is only my 3rd year at Frontier and hard to believe, my 25th year in the profession! I have a huge heart and dedication to our students and families. My everyday role is working with students, families, teachers, counselors, and administrators in supporting students’ ability to learn.  Teens face challenges from time to time that impact learning such as managing emotions, social relationships, and making tough decisions.  There are many factors that may affect how a student progresses academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally.  Primarily, I work closely with staff and families to support students with unique learning needs that requiring special education services to make educational progress.

If your child is a general education student (not receiving any special education services), and you are concerned he/she may require additional supports or interventions at school, please contact his/her school counselor.

If your child currently has an IEP and you are concerned that he/she may require additional supports, please contact his/her case manager.

What advice would I give to my "High School Self"?:

Believe in YOU!  Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.  LEARN from your mistakes. Most important - Never give up!
