In Art 1 students are able to choose their own projects and express themselves through the visual arts while learning about art from many cultures and time periods. Students work with a variety of materials to create different styles of artwork. Credits are based on the amount of work completed (100 points=1 credit). Students should be completing at least 50 points per week in order to be on track to earn the full 5 credits each quarter. Letter grades are based on the quality of student work. Student progress may be viewed on Aeries- grades are usually updated within a few days, and sometimes even on the day that work is turned in.
